Why Midwest Gun Works Is the Gunsmithing Partner You Can Trust
I don’t often, if ever, write blogs about a retailer, but Midwest Gun Works deserves a spotlight. This Missouri business was started in 1997 by several gunsmiths to simplify firearms repair, whether you buy the tools and parts to do it yourself or ship your gun to the pros at Midwest Gun Works.
Early on MGW began buying up not only current, but obsolete parts from gun builders around the world. Fast forward to today, they’ve amassed more than 1 million parts in addition to the array of usual guns, ammunition, scopes, bipods, magazines, choke tubes, suppressors, gun cases… you get the idea. Their gunsmithing team includes stock makers and engravers as well as repairmen and builders. Essentially, MGW has evolved into a true one-stop shop for all things firearms.
They’re official service centers for Browning, Beretta, and Winchester, and they also service a wide range of firearms, including models from Mossberg, Kimber, Benelli, Howa, and more. Their gunsmithing includes work on Ruger 10/22s and AR-style rifles commonly used for hunting and sport. Or, if you prefer the custom route, they’ll even do custom builds after careful and complete consultation with the buyer.
Guns, ammo, optics, and magazines - you can find them all at MGW.
Several members of the Midwest Gun Works team reached out to Ron Spomer Outdoors to offer support for the messages we deliver. They have a similar philosophy of “honest and straight.” That’s why we’re so excited to announce that MGW has become one of our channel’s main sponsors. With their wealth of knowledge, generosity, and eager attitude, we have quickly formed an excellent partnership to deliver some amazing content!
In today’s anti-gun environment, it’s becoming ever more challenging to find competent gunsmiths. When you find not one but a whole crew of them backed by a warehouse stuffed with odd and hard-to-find parts, plus most of the shooting and hunting supplies we outdoorsmen and women need – well, that’s a brand I can endorse.
I won’t tell anyone which gun, scope, bullet, or hunting boot they should use, but I have no hesitation in recommending that they check out Midwest Gun Works. As the Mountain Men used to say, “They’ll do to ride the river with.”
