I echo your sentiments exactly.  One problem with house cats is that because they are well cared for they kill just because it is what they do not because they need food.  It&#039;s not their fault - it&#039;s in their blood. 

Feral cats are another issue.  Here again I think you are spot on.  Why spay / neuter a cat only to let it fend for itself?  Cats have been domesticated for upwards of 9500 years.  Wild populations of today&#039;s house cat NO longer exist - only feral cousins. Humans have a responsibility to spay /neuter their house cats, so if they to escape they will not increase feral populations through reproduction.  I feel that feral cats should be caught and euthanized as you suggest.
